Dimitri Van den Bergh and Kim Huybrechts start well at the World Cup of Darts with a smooth victory against the Japanese

After years of throwing first, Huybrechts passed on that leading role to Van den Bergh for the first time. Still slightly surprising. Dancing Dimi was therefore always the first to throw and the Belgians started well. Both The Hurricane and Dancing Dimi immediately threw their first 180 and the Belgians quickly took the lead 2-0.

Van den Bergh and Huybrechts pushed on and seemed to be on cruise control on their way to the 1/8th finals, but they missed a match point on double four and Japan suddenly came 4-2 thanks to the surprisingly strong Tomoya Goto. Van den Bergh and Huybrechts started to doubt a little more in the next leg, but the Japanese didn’t give up either: Huybrechts got three match darts on double 20 and finished it off, 5-2!
