Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla and Space X who recently took over social media platform Twitter, has said former US President Donald Trump will be allowed to use the platform again. That writes the Wall Street Journal

“I don’t think it was right to ban Donald Trump,” Musk said at a Financial Times virtual car conference. According to Musk, banning Trump was a “morally wrong decision” and such bans undermine trust in Twitter. “If there are tweets that are wrong and bad, they should either be deleted or made invisible, and a temporary suspension is appropriate, but not a permanent ban,” Musk said.

The world’s richest man reached an agreement with the people of Twitter late last month to buy the platform for about $44 billion. He has already sold more than $8.5 billion in Tesla shares to pay for the takeover, secured multi-billion dollar loans from banks and also knocked on the door of several investors.

Trump has previously announced that he has no intention of returning to Twitter. Instead, he wants to continue to focus on his own social media platform Truth Social.
