Fighting with heavy weapons is raging in Kibumba, the last security lock before the city of Goma, capital of North Kivu. The FARDC engaged two fighter planes against the rebels. The M23 claimed on Wednesday to have taken control of the city, which the Congolese army and the police deny on Thursday.

In recent weeks, hundreds of African foreigners living in Equatorial Guinea, mostly Cameroonians, have been expelled to their countries. An incomprehensible situation since Equatorial Guinea signed in 2017 a free movement agreement with the six States of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa.
