A load of marijuana valued at R$ 3.3 million was seized during pursuit this Thursday (12), in Ponta Porã, a city 313 kilometers from Campo Grande. The drug was being transported in a stolen S10 truck, which pierced the roadblock of military police officers, on MS-384.
The driver ran off towards the municipality of Antônio João, but after a few kilometers the trafficker abandoned the vehicle and fled through a forest. On the back seat and in the back of the truck were hundreds of marijuana tablets equivalent to 1.6 tons of the drug. The shipment was valued at exactly R$3,340,000.00 in drugs.
During the checks, the police officers also discovered that the vehicle’s real license plate was from Rondonópolis, in Mato Grosso, the city where the vehicle was stolen in October of last year. Finally, drugs and vehicles were sent to the Ponta Porã Civil Police station.
