A 55-year-old drug dealer was arrested with a load of cocaine base paste valued at R$ 1.7 million this Friday (05) at MS-164, in Ponta Porã, a city 313 kilometers from Campo Grande.

Police officers from the TOR (Tatico Ostensivo Rodoviário), from the Military Highway Police, intensified inspections on the highway, at the Aquidabã base, after receiving an anonymous tip that a vehicle would pass through the place loaded with drugs.

During the inspection they stopped a Fiat / Uno, with a Passos / MG plate and in it, they found 71.2 kilos of cocaine base paste, divided into 70 tablets, hidden in a false compartment of the vehicle.

Faced with the act, the driver confessed that he took the drug in Ponta Porã and would take it to Três Lagoas. Consequently, he received a voice of arrest for the crime of drug trafficking and was driven, along with the vehicle and the drug, to the Ponta Porã Civil Police station.
