Bestselling author Rita Falk (58) has been thinking for several "Eberhofer"-novels about the end of their main character.

“The ice is getting thin,” crime author Rita Falk explains her thoughts about ending the stories about the village policeman Franz Eberhofer.

“In the meantime I’ve gone through all the motives and used all the weapons. The ice is slowly getting thin,” said the writer of “Süddeutsche Zeitung” in Thursday’s issue.

Falk is currently writing her twelfth book in the Eberhofer series, which she began more than ten years ago.

Since the fifth or sixth volume, she has been saying goodbye a little.

“Whenever I get to the end of a book, I get a little nostalgic and think about how long readers will want these stories,” said the 58-year-old.

In the meantime, five of Rita Falk’s Eberhofer crime novels have also been made filmed.
