The Eintracht Frankfurt women’s soccer team lost 2-1 at second division leaders RB Leipzig in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup on Saturday and were eliminated.

Second in the Bundesliga table, they lost 2-1 (1-0) at second-division leaders RB Leipzig on Saturday and were eliminated.

National player Laura Freigang gave the Hessians the lead in the 19th minute.

But after the change, Marlene Müller turned the game around in favor of the hosts with a double strike (55th/89th).

Coach Niko Arnautis’ team will continue in the Bundesliga next Saturday with a home game against Bayer Leverkusen.

With 17 points, the Frankfurt women are currently in second place behind champions VfL Wolfsburg (21), with whom they have to play on December 3rd.
