England found no difficulties and asserted their favoritism over the weak selection of Iran in a game valid for group B of the World Cup, in Qatar. The English team won in their debut by 6-2 at the Khalifa International stadium.

Despite the elastic score, the English needed 35 minutes to open the scoring with Bellingham. Sterling widened at the end of the first leg. In the second half, Saka, twice, Rashford and Grealish scored for England. Mehdi Taremi scored twice for Iran.

England will be back on the pitch on Friday at 3pm (DT) against the United States. Iran takes the field on the same day, at 6 am, against Wales.

This Monday’s round continues at noon with Senegal x Netherlands at Al Thumama Stadium, a game valid for group A. At 3 pm there is United States vs Wales at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium for group B.
