Fernando Alonso is still outside the points at the GP of Miami due to time penalties

Fernando Alonso had to give up three places after the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami on Sunday. Alpine’s Spaniard was given two 5-second time penalties.

The first time penalty came after causing a collision with Frenchman Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri), the second for taking unfair advantage of cutting a corner on the penultimate lap. Alonso passed the checkered flag in eighth, but ended up in eleventh place due to the 10 penalty seconds. He was therefore left out of the points.

Canadian Lance Stroll (Aston Martin) took advantage. He moved up to tenth place, earning 1 World Cup point.
