Fines and sector closures are Fradi's punishments from UEFA

UEFA fined Ferencváros EUR 79,000, i.e. roughly HUF 31 million, for what happened in both matches of the Champions League qualifier against Slovan Bratislava, writes the National sport.

UEFA announcement according to the FTC

  • He has to pay 15,000 euros due to the racist expressions of the fans. Due to racist expressions, at the next home European Cup match (against Qarabag), he must close at least 1,000 seats in Stand B, and display “#NoToRacism” signs with the UEFA logo in the stadium.
  • He has to pay 50,000 euros because of the behavior of the fans. During this time, UEFA understands the use of pyrotechnics, throwing objects onto the pitch, vandalism and provocative behavior.
  • You have to pay 14,000 euros due to the closure of certain public corridors.

The list did not end with fines and sector closures. UEFA has banned the FTC from selling tickets for a future away European Cup match following racist behavior from fans – a measure suspended by UEFA for a two-year trial period.

In addition, Ferencváros must contact Slovan Bratislava within 30 days to settle the damage caused by Fradi fans in the Bratislava stadium (UEFA cited 20 destroyed chairs in the decision as an example).

On Wednesday, Ferencváros achieved a 1-1 draw as a guest of Qarabag of Azerbaijan, the second leg of the match will take place on Tuesday in the Groupama Arena.
