The Fire Department resumed on Tuesday morning (14) the search for the body of César dos Santos, 22, who died buried by soy beans this Monday (13) in a warehouse, located on the side of the highway. MS-306, in the business center of Chapadão do Sul, a municipality about 331 kilometers from Campo Grande.

Although the work to remove the victim continued until last night, it was still not possible to remove the body, which is buried under thousands of tons of grain. In addition, the place is difficult to access and does not have lighting, according to the firefighters.

According to Correio News, the rescue had to be interrupted at dawn on Tuesday and was resumed at 7:30 am. The work is carried out by the firefighters of Chapadão do Sul, with the support of the Civil Police and criminal expertise. Once the body is removed, it will be sent to the IML (Institute of Legal Medicine) in Paranaíba for a necroscopic examination.

The accident – Caesar was pushing grain into a funnel and momentarily let go of the cable holding him by a seat belt. He slipped and fell into the sinkhole, being buried under the grain. César dos Santos was born in the state of Piauí and left his family to work in Chapadão do Sul.
