Mats Rits tore his anterior cruciate ligament last week against Anderlecht and will be out for several months. A line through the bill for Club Brugge, but Rits did travel with the group to the Duden Park. Rits is basically replaced by Eder Balanta, who is preferred over Ruud Vormer.

“With Rits, we are missing a very important player who provides balance and depth. It was clear to me then that Adamyan had to play, because he has a lot of depth in the field. Balanta must ensure the right occupation in midfield. It is very important today that we control the midfield and the rest of the defense well,” said coach Alfred Schreuder before kick-off.
