As the police reported on Monday, the perpetrators had set fire to the garbage cans on Pestalozzistrasse on Saturday afternoon.

The flames then spread to the facade of an adjoining commercial building with extensions, roofing and the entrance door to the storage area.

Firefighters were able to prevent the flames from entering the building.

However, the stored goods from the storage area are no longer usable. The total damage also amounts to around 500,000 euros.

The fire investigation experts of the Suhl criminal police found out during their investigations on site that arson was the cause of the fire. Witnesses are being sought in this connection.
