The Secretary of Malvinas, Antarctica, South Atlantic Islands and International Affairs, Andrew Dachary, together with the undersecretary for Geopolitical Affairs, Carolina Lavor and War Veterans of the province, met with the ambassador of the Republic of Peru in Argentina, John Peter Camino Cannockto thank him for the unconditional support of that country during the conflict in the South Atlantic.
“It was a very good meeting. emotional and very warmwhere we were able to convey the thanks of the governor Gustavo Melella and from the citizens of Tierra del Fuego to the people of Peru for what was done during the conflict in the South Atlantic in 1982″ Dachary commented.
The meeting took place at the embassy of the Republic of Peru in Argentina, in a very pleasant meeting where the ambassador was very interested in knowing how the cause Malvinas in Tierra del Fuego and the activities of the veterans centers.
Dachary highlighted the exchange of what the veterans had experienced in the Malvinas, generating one of the most emotional moments of the meeting. At the end they handed out gifts and invited the ambassador to return to Land of Fire.
The Diplomat who visited the province last March 10, 2020, where he was declared Guest of Honor, he recalled that “Peru has had a permanent position of support for Argentina in its just and legitimate claim regarding sovereignty over the Malvinas, South Georgia, South Sandwich Islands and their surrounding maritime spaces.
