The holiday of the patron saint of Campo Grande, Santo Antônio, on June 13th, will be just another normal day this year. All because the anticipation of the break in 2021, during the pandemic, left this year’s calendar different for workers.

In the Capital, only the TJMS (Court of Justice of Mato Grosso do Sul) will not have office this Monday. Another six counties will amend this weekend. They are: Batayporã (patron saint of the city), Corumbá (resumption of the municipality), Costa Rica (patron saint of the city), Jardim (patron saint of the city), Porto Murtinho (anniversary of the municipality) and Terenos (patron saint of the city).

State civil servants will be entitled to the holiday, but will only be able to enjoy the day off next Friday (17). Governor Reinaldo Azambuja (PSDB) decreed an optional point for seven municipalities: Batayporã, Campo Grande, Corumbá, Costa Rica, Jardim, Porto Murtinho and Terenos. In this way, employees will be able to amend the Corpus Christi holiday, on Thursday (16), with Friday. Adding to the weekend, there will be four days off.

It is worth noting that if the early holiday was not complied with by the company and entity in March of last year, the dates are valid as days off, and in case there was, in 2021, an employee who worked without receiving extra pay, the worker will also be entitled to enjoy the holidays. Check out the open and close for the next week.
