The movement at gas stations in Campo Grande has not changed much so far, after a new announcement of price increases at pumps starting tomorrow. Drivers accommodated and mainly hostages of successive readjustments was what the Campo Grande News identified when walking through the establishments.

Realtor Christian Boulbokan, 31, was already aware of the raise and was at one of the posts this afternoon. He told the report that he went to fill up his vehicle because he needed it, regardless of the readjustment. “With so many raises, we’re used to it, I’m going with the flow. If I need to fill up, I fill up”, he commented, considering that if he didn’t use the car so much, he wouldn’t put fuel on.

Saying he was “accommodated”, businessman Claiton Tavares, 47, said he was not aware that a new adjustment had been announced, but that the fuel could increase up to “R$ 20.00 or R$ 30.00 that I paid” , mocked. “People got comfortable, that’s why the price only goes up. The price goes up and nobody does anything. I also settle down because alone I can’t do anything,” he lamented.

Nursing technician Jaqueline da Silva, 40, also shrugs her shoulders. “I came out of necessity. Does this increase scare you? Scare! But we need to keep supplying. I only have this car to get around, so I have to keep fueling up, even with the price going up,” she resigns.

Manager of one of the gas stations visited by the report, Vanda Nogueira, 40 years old, says that until this afternoon the demand is higher than normal, but without queues. Regarding the increase in value, she believes that gasoline, mainly, should have R$ 0.20 or R$ 0.30 added to its selling price to the consumer. “Some customers are already commenting on the new increase, but they are coming to fill up anyway”, she comments.
