In the Turkish city of Bitlis, a cat with a broken leg came to the emergency room herself. Nurse Abuzer Ozdemir noticed an unusual patient and, contrary to the rules, examined him. Could not resist the plaintive meow. The fluffy pet had a broken hind leg. The animal was splinted and bandaged.

“I kept the cat under observation for a while. Then she got used to it, and went back to where she came from. But Davsho (that was the name of the unusual patient) comes back to us from time to time, and we loosen the tire so that she is comfortable,” Abuzer Ozdemir said.

In Turkey, this is not the first time that cats go to hospitals for help from people. The local press writes about such stories more often than Siberian journalists about bears on the street. So, in May, employees of a medical center in the city of Karaman delivered a homeless cat. The cat also turned to the doctors for help.

“We suddenly heard a cat meow in the corridor of the center. Friends who realized that the cat was giving birth immediately took her to a back room and gave birth, ”said Dr. Hüseyin Ulu.

One of the kittens stopped breathing after birth, but they managed to rehabilitate him.

Before that, in Istanbul, a cat brought a kitten to the hospital in her teeth and handed the baby over to the doctors. The little ginger lump turned out to have an eye infection. After a course of medication, the kitten opened his eyes and went for a walk around the city with his mother.

Why exactly Turkish cats regularly go to the hospital themselves remains a mystery. Perhaps because it is in this country, due to its traditions, that they are not afraid of people and trust them.
