The prices of the latest iPhone 14 start at CZK 26,490, but we are really talking about the basic 14s. The more advanced 14 Pro series starts at CZK 33,490, the best configuration costs more than CZK 53,000.

It might seem like it’s only Apple’s problem, but the opposite is true. For premium smartphones, most leading manufacturers claim amounts exceeding the imaginary limit of 20 or 30 thousand crowns.

The Nokia X30 with a price tag of CZK 12,990 may look like a revelation, but it lacks practically nothing you would expect from a premium smartphone.

The heart of the phone is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor, which can easily handle more demanding games, advanced applications or photo editing programs. Of course, there are also more powerful mobile chipsets on the market, which are boasted by more expensive phones. However, few people fully utilize their potential.

Big screen, great camera

The main highlight of the front is a spacious FullHD+ display with a diagonal of 6.43 inches, which boasts a 90Hz refresh rate, PureDisplay technology, an integrated fingerprint reader and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass.

The increased durability of the entire phone was not forgotten either. The Nokia X30 5G is resistant to water and dust according to the IP67 standard. Two-day endurance on a single charge is ensured thanks to the built-in battery with a capacity of 4200 mAh and support for fast 33W charging.

The cameras also deserve a mention. The main one offers a resolution of 50 MPx and boasts optical stabilization, artificial intelligence and an improved night mode. A 13 MPx ultra-wide-angle camera with a 123˚ field of view will serve for comfortable photography in a limited space.

Both cameras are covered by Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+, which transmits 98% of light. What’s new is Capture Fusion technology, which combines photos from the main and ultra-wide-angle cameras into one image for the best possible result.

For the sake of completeness, let’s add that there is a 16 MPx camera on the front.

Emphasis was also placed on ecology when designing the phone, the frame is thus made of 100% recycled aluminum. The back of the phone consists of 65% recycled plastic.

Dealers inflated the prices

Officially, only the version with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage space is offered in the Czech Republic, at a price of CZK 12,990. Even before the official launch of the phone on the domestic market, however, it was possible to come across phones with only 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage for the same amount. These were devices that some sellers imported to the Czech market on their own.

This created a rather spicy situation, because the 8GB version was offered for the same amount as the previously presented 6GB variant at the time of its launch. As evidenced by the shopping advisor Zboží.czthe price of the 6GB version has currently dropped, it is offered for CZK 11,499.

Even so, it is worth paying an extra 1,500 crowns to get a phone with double the storage space and larger operating memory.
