When an NFL star decides to retire, it is often because of his age or because he wants to try something else. However, Blake Martinez is not like that. He travels in Pokémon.
The 28-year-old former quarterback announced on November 11 that he would leave the world of the NFL behind and focus on his family and future aspirations.
He said he is very excited about this new journey and appreciates the support of the fans and organizations that have supported him over the years.
However, it surprised everyone when Martinez revealed during an interview that he will be trading Pokemon cards.
The former NFL player started collecting pocket monsters as a child, and during the 2020 epidemic, he rediscovered his passion for Pokémon and created his own small store where he deals in these precious cards.
Martinez earned $672,000 with just one card, making it the second most expensive Pokémon card sold in the world.
