Beselare, which has built up a strong home reputation this season, did not get further than a 1-1 draw against Moorslede. If the guys from T1 Mike Dewitte want to take second place, winning at Moorslede is a must.
Beselare came out stronger this season for his own people than outside the home. With the exception of Geluveld, few teams managed to beat EVC in front of their own audience, but Beselare need not despair after the draw against Moorslede. At the start of the regular competition, the red-yellows also won 1-2 on the Moorslede field.
“It would be great if we could do that again”, hopes 34-year-old Jonas D’Hellem. “I am working on my last minutes of play. Due to my busy job and because we were enriched with a second child in February, it is no longer possible to combine football and my family life. Football has always been the common thread in my life. I was barely seventeen when I was allowed to make my debut with the big boys with the first team of Geluwe. I can look back on a successful football career. It would be great if I could close it with a promotion.”
“I read in your newspaper last weekend that some teams play with the handbrake on in the final round. We do not participate in that. At Moorslede we will all go full throttle and then have a party”, concludes Jonas D’Hellem.
