Demonstrators from the “Last Generation” climate campaign are currently blocking the B1 in Magdeburg near Asländische Platz.
The location of the strike was classified until Monday morning. Now the first activists have stuck themselves on the B1 at the intersection of Walter-Rathenau-Strasse and Gustav-Adolf-Strasse near the university library.
Other demonstrators stand by with large banners and block the road, which is currently busy due to rush hour traffic.
According to TAG24 information from the scene, the police are currently directing traffic and trying to get as many cars past the activists as possible. Only one of the three lanes can currently be used.

The emergency services are on site with a large contingent.
Like the “Last Generation” members previously wrote in a press release, they want to use this campaign to once again draw attention to the abuses in climate policy and speak out in favor of a speed limit on motorways and the 9-euro ticket.
In the meantime, another climate activist has stuck to the road.
Of the six demonstrators on site, three are already blocking the road.
The members of the “Last Generation” are well prepared: participants sit on cushions to protect themselves from the icy cold of the street. Hand warmers and hot tea are also included in the luggage.

According to TAG24 information, an ambulance was called in and a doctor is to free the activists from the street.
Aside from the glue, the cold street would also complicate this endeavor.
