Fabio Van Den Bossche and the Dutchman Yoeri Havik are second with 193 points in one round. Jules Hesters and his German teammate Tim Torn Teutenberg are third with 150 points and already have two rounds to make up for, just like Iljo Keisse and Jasper De Buyst, fourth with 103 points. The rest of the field follows four rounds or more and is counted out for the overall victory.

The Dutchman Jan Willem van Schip arranged the first points race of the evening. The Dane Matias Malmberg took the lead in the second points race. The team’s elimination was flagged prematurely after a heavy fall in which numerous couples were involved. In the track round, De Vylder and Ghys again demanded all the attention.

This was followed by the madison in 50 minutes, the GP Patrick Sercu, launched by the greatest of all time: Eddy Merckx. A real cabinet piece in which the couples Hesters/Teutenberg and Keisse/De Buyst were given an important round by their closest competitors. The GP Patrick Sercu was won by the Dutchmen Hoppezak and Heijnen ahead of De Vylder and Ghys and Van Den Bossche and Havik. Traditionally, the GP Sercu ensured that the cards were really shaken in the run-up to the final on Sunday and the strongest teams could profile themselves.
