Since then, based in Geneva, with just a dozen employees, this international organization, subject to the observation of states as different as the United States, Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, Brazil and Western Europeans, summons the best scientists to write a periodic report, in fields as diverse as atmospheric chemistry, physical oceanography, dendrochronology, glaciology, thermodynamics.

From report to report, the reality of the global climate warming and its anthropic origin — greenhouse gas emissions derived from human activities. This reality has only been challenged by scientists with little credibility and in search of notoriety.

Its consequences can prove to be very serious unless the way of life and consumption inspired by the “American way of life”: explosion of big cities, generalization of the automobile, globalization of trade.
