Manuel Turizo visits bachata school and motivates young people to follow the path of music

CABARETE, Puerto Plata. – Latin Grammy nominated singer and songwriter Manuel Turizo visited the DREAM Project Bachata Academy, where he was warmly welcomed by the children, youth and adults of the foundation and residents of the Callejón de la Loma community.

During his visit, the artist learned about the DREAM Project programs and interacted with the young students of the Bachata Academy, who excitedly shared the stage with the artist and performed several songs, including his most recent song and first bachata entitled “La Bachata” , indicates an entity note.

“It is motivating to see so much talent in children and young people. I came to see the only music school, where young people can exploit their potential, I was surprised to learn that even after finishing school they can get scholarships to study music at the university,” said Turizo, excited to see children of all ages passionately playing bachata the way he and his brother did growing up.

In this way, -adds the information- the Colombian artist joins the list of celebrities and singers who support the mission of DREAM Project, such as Leslie Grace, Henry Santos, Amara La Negra, and Taye Diggs, among others.

Turizo, is a young 22-year-old artist, he was interested in music since he was a child, so, during his press tour in the Dominican Republic, he became interested in visiting the academy while promoting his new bachata single, “La Bachata”.

The DREAM Project Bachata Academy is the first and only of its kind to teach bachata and provide music education to approximately 200 local at-risk youth. Overall, the Foundation impacts 6,500 children and youth with innovative educational programs.
