Sports presenter Scott Van Pelt cried for his dead dog in front of the cameras in early May – paid tribute to the animal for a heartfelt contribution.

USA – In the USA he is a popular sports presenter on the ESPN TV channel: Scott Van Pelt (55) used this position at the beginning of May to show his private side. The reason: his beloved dog Otis had died.

The 55-year-old had already posted tweets at the end of April in which he mourned the loss of his beloved four-legged friend.

It said: “We are devastated to have to say goodbye to Otis ‘The Dog’. It has truly been the most special friendship and bond of my entire life. He was an absolute royalty. Love your good boys and good gals with all your strength – every day that you can. There can never be enough of them.”

Then the sports presenter went one better. On his show “One Big Thing,” Van Pelt deviated from the show’s normal schedule to pay tribute to his four-pawed best friend (YouTube version see below).

In this way, the American spoke about his affair of the heart – that life and the times together with his family and male Otis.

This can be seen in the video: While the five-minute “special contribution” begins routinely and professionally, it becomes increasingly emotional. In the last few minutes, the agitated master moderated crying with tears in his eyes.

In the post, Van Pelt describes how Otis used to run up to him when he came home from work in the evening.

The dog’s wagging tail and cheerful, loving presence were always a comfort. Now that Otis is no longer there, that’s exactly what the family man would miss the most.

“After tonight’s show, I’d rather drive all the way from DC to the Pacific Ocean rather than take a short drive home where I’ll be sitting in the dark waiting for my Otie Boy,” said Van Pelt.

With one sentence, the moderator should have hit the hearts of dog lovers in particular. As he said, “Nothing we do is worth what our dogs give us for free.”

Many of you can certainly subscribe to that wholeheartedly.
