In commemoration of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Womenthe Ministry of women reiterated its commitment to Dominican society to promote the equalityequity, inclusion, respect and justice.

Through a statement, he ratified his commitment to work for the rights and guarantee of a free life without violence for women through awareness-raising services, training, legal and psychological assistance, shelters and the Emergency line *212.

He recalled the historical footprint of the Mirabal Sisters, “who with their struggle, offering their lives, laid the foundations for freedom and the rights of women and men in the Dominican Republic.”

Likewise, she recalled that they guide the empowerment of women that sustains their political action, “free from the discriminations that limit their full capacity as the fight for a parity society, since without equality there is no democracy”.

He emphasized that a culture of peace can only be achieved by working in an articulated manner and with the whole of society.
