Wilson Cavalheiro Lopes, 43, better known as “Onion” died this morning (16) in Bairro Vida Nova, north of Campo Grande, walked about 200 meters bloody after being stabbed by a motorcyclist.
At the scene it is still possible to see blood marks on Rua Passo Fundo, where the victim ran after being stabbed with 7 stab wounds on Rua dos Poetas. Known to locals in the area, Wilson was involved with drugs. According to neighbors, he sold and delivered narcotics.
A woman, who preferred not to identify herself because she is afraid, said she saw two men on a motorcycle passing by on the street. Then she heard the victim’s screams. According to her, the author accused the man of stealing a cell phone.
Also according to neighbors, years ago Wilson had also been stabbed, but he was rescued.
According to the police report, a 38-year-old witness said he was at the couple’s house, Wilson and his 28-year-old wife, when a dark, thin young man approached and called the victim by name. The two then walked off together, being followed by another older man, also thin and dark, who was riding a red Yamaha YBR motorcycle.
At one point, according to the witness, the man who was riding a motorcycle pulled out a knife. That’s when the youngest boy shouted: “no dad, he’s with Cebola (sic)”. The victim’s body was found shortly afterwards with 7 knife wounds: 4 on the back, 2 on the left arm and 1 on the right arm.
The case remains under investigation. So far, no one has been arrested.
