After traveling to Skopje in North Macedonia and Kfar Blum in Israel, coach Rodrigo Pastore’s team traveled to Prizren in Kosovo on Matchday 5 of Group A.

The first quarter was balanced (24:24). At the beginning of the second ten minutes, Chemnitz warmed up and took control. Within eight minutes they pulled away to 51:30 and steered the game in the right direction early on.

Nine out of twelve distance shots chased the Niners through the trap in the first half. The Lithuanian Mindaugas Susinskas, already extremely accurate in the BBL victory against Crailsheim, managed three three-pointers alone and had collected 13 points by the break siren.

Also gratifying: Nelson Weidemann was back after tearing his ankle and celebrated a strong comeback with twelve points. Thanks to Weidemann, Pastore had one more personnel alternative in the still very small rotation.

After the change of sides, the accuracy was lost, the game flattened out. The triumph of the guests, who had already asserted themselves 90:60 in the first leg, was in danger, but at no time.

As against Crailsheim, Kevin Yebo broke the 100 point mark shortly before the end of the game. The best pitcher was Captain Jonas Richter with 18 points.

On the 6th and last day of the game, the Niners will fight for group victory against the Israeli team Hapoel Galil Elion in the Chemnitz Exhibition Center on November 30th.

Already on Sunday Pastores basket hunters are challenged in front of their home crowd against Bamberg in the BBL. Most recently, Richter & Co. celebrated three wins in a row in the Bundesliga.
