Ojo de Agua, a changing Cienfuegos community

Rodas, Cienfuegos.–The Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, national coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), appreciated the transformations in the Ojo de Agua settlement, one of the neighborhoods considered to be in a situation of vulnerability in the municipality of Rodas, whose housing infrastructure has been improved as part of the works in greeting to July 26.

In the community, more than 190 construction actions were conceived only in the houses, 85 of which are in progress. 14 comprehensive rehabilitations have already been completed, in addition to several house roofs.

The social interest program also includes a playground, a new warehouse to bring business services closer to the population, a sports field, the construction of sidewalks and the repair of access roads.

Accompanied by the member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in the province of Cienfuegos, Marydé Fernández López, the National Coordinator of the cdr visited some of the beneficiary families.

In terms of economic and social aid, mothers with three or more children and the elderly who live alone have been assisted here, and material resources for domestic use were delivered to the most needy family nuclei.

Gerardo Hernández referred to the demand for the culture of detail in the completion of each home, and in whatever work is undertaken, both by the owners and by the rest of the neighbors, something that, he stressed, the Prime Minister has insisted on Secretary of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

The National Coordinator of the CDR expressed the certainty that in Ojo de Agua, in the heat of the effervescence for Cienfuegos to have deserved to host the central act for July 26, multiple activities promoted by the CDR members and by the rest of the the mass organizations.
