This Sunday, the Parque das Nações Indígenas will host the Campo Grande Duathlon, a running and cycling event. Departure is scheduled for 7 am.
According to the organizers, the competition will feature a 4.3-kilometer race, plus 15 kilometers of mountain bike and a further 2.2 kilometers of running.
Competitions will be held in the mixed doubles, pure doubles and individual categories.
According to Fundesporte (Fundação de Desporto e Lazer de Mato Grosso do Sul), which supports the event, around 300 competitors are expected from all regions of the state. “It’s an event inside the city, in an urban park with great characteristics for the sport. The race will be held on asphalt, while the mountain bike will run on grass in some parts of the forest”, says Carlos Porto, organizer of the race.
