A 9mm pistol without proper transport documentation was seized and owner arrested in Ponta Porã, a city 323 km from Campo Grande. The weapon was found during an inspection in a private aircraft that landed at the city’s airport this morning and the owner of the weapon was released after bail.
According to the Federal Police, the pistol had 29 ammunition, but could only be transported with the issuance of a Traffic Guide, a document that authorizes the transit of weapons, accessories and ammunition in the national territory. The guide is issued for a determined period and delimited territory.
The owner has a CAC (hunter, shooter and collector’s permit) in the State of São Paulo. He was taken to the Federal Police Station in Ponta Porã/MS, where he was heard and released after bail.
