Through his Twitter account, the National Council of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation for development (CTCI), reported that the President Gabriel Boric appointed the lawyer from the University of Chile, Aisén Etcheverry, as the new president of the entity.
Etcheverry is the former director of the current National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), exConicyt, and he was in charge of launching the transition process, a position he had left this year with the arrival of the new administration. In the last 15 years she has been linked to issues of Innovation and Technology.
The Council of CTCI is an autonomous body that is in charge of advising the President in science, technology, knowledge and innovation, in charge of elaborating the CTCI Strategy, that provides a framework for the policies that the State promotes in these matters, which is delivered to the incoming president.
Etcheverry will replace Álvaro Fischer in the positionformer president of Fundación Chile, who has led the institution for the last four years and who concluded his term after delivering the new CTCI roadmap to the incoming president last June.
