Truck drivers and protesters against the result of the presidential election organize strikes and new road closures this Friday (18). In Mato Grosso do Sul, a blockade was initiated at the Trevo da Bandeira in Dourados, at the junction of BRs 463 and 163, in Dourados, 230 kilometers from Campo Grande, where demonstrators set fire to tires. The interdiction lasted less than an hour and the track was released.
The PRF (Federal Highway Police) stated that in case of new blockades, actions will be taken to immediately release the lanes. Initially in the form of dialogue, if there is no agreement, fines provided for in the CTB (Brazilian Traffic Code) will be issued, registration of vehicles to inform the Justice and the use of shock force to clear the obstruction.
Based on Art. 253 of the Brazilian Traffic Code, a driver who uses the vehicle to interrupt, restrict or disturb traffic on the road without authorization may be liable for a very serious infraction. The amounts of the fines can vary between 5 and 17 thousand reais, depending on the infraction.

The demonstrations are concentrated in Rondônia, Pernambuco and Mato Grosso. Of the total, 13 locations have the flow partially compromised and in 4 the traffic is completely interrupted.
