Unfortunately for sainz and luckily for Red Bullthe advantage gained by Verstappen played an important role and this allowed them to climb to the top of the podium for the sixth time this season, seventh if the podium of ‘Czech’ in Monaco.

But the rider from Madrid did not leave with a bad taste in his mouth, as he secured second place in Montréal at the end of the 70 laps of the circuit almost a second after the Dutchman, which assured him the 19 points corresponding to second place.

Lewis Hamilton, For his part, he returned to the podium and obtained his second third place of the season. It should be noted that in 2019, the last time the Canadian GPthe British was the pilot who was crowned.

For the first time in recent competitions, ‘Czech’ Perez He was left without the opportunity to fight for the podium, this after his RB18 suffered from some engine failure and prevented him from finishing the race.
