Roof of Mega Soriana Mixcoac collapses due to accumulation of hail

Mexico City.- Due to a heavy hailstorm, the roof of a Mega Sorina collapsed while people made their purchases.

The events were recorded in the supermarket located in the colony San Juan, in the mayor’s office Benito Juarez, of the Mexico City.

Elements of emergency services came to the place to assess the damage and remove the debris.

“Due to the accumulation of hail, a tin roof, approximately 35 m by 20 m, fell from the Soriana self-service store located on Av. Revolución and Caravaggio, Col. San Juan, @BJAlcaldia. No injuries,” reported the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) capital.

No injuries, firefighters report

Through a statement, the Heroic Fire Department of Mexico City reported that elements attended the report of the collapse of a metal structure.

Likewise, the Heroic Fire Department detailed that until that moment no injuries were reported.

“In follow-up to the service, the address in Colonia Insurgentes Mixcoac, in @BJAlcaldia, is corrected, it is reported that a metallic structure of approximately 1000 square meters collapsed, no injuries are reported; We continue to work there.”
