In an unprecedented event on board an airplane, a passenger rebelled against the authority of the stewardess and fist bumped the pilot. It all ended with several injuries and the arrest of the aggressor who, for no reason, attacked the aeronautical personnel. This situation happened on an airline flight WizzAir bound for the city of Cretelocated in Greece.
According to witnesses to the attack, two men from Londona little over 30 years old, were the cause of barbarism, added to a third, who was in an alcoholic state after ingesting a liter of vodka. Upon being notified that the police were going to take action on the matter, the aggressor wanted to escape. A woman who witnessed the event, and was on her way to a Greek island to spend a week on vacation with her husband, spoke with the British media The Sun and gave more details about it.
“The man and his friend had been very loud and abusive throughout the flight. But something did to them click when the stewardess told them that the police would take them off the plane when we landed. That’s when he started throwing puncheswhile a group of boys tried to contain it”, he pointed out and added: “The pilot got out and this person hit him. It was embarrassing.”
The general chaos caused the police to arrest the person who caused the conflict, while other travelers preferred to evacuate the aircraft through the rear door. “The two men were clearly intoxicated and boasted that they had been drinking at the airport since 10am. We knew we’d be in trouble when he sat in someone else’s seat and told them ‘Fuck you…’ when asked,” he completed.
On a trip that turned into a nightmare, the witness continued with more data that foreshadowed the chaos: “I was surprised that they even let them fly since they were being noisy before taking off. They were smoking cigarettes during the flight. However, continued to serve them alcohol despite passengers telling the flight attendants that they had probably had enough”.
After the situation calmed down, the passengers had to wait more than two hours to go through the police station and give statements about what happened. Consequently, the planning of some trips was distorted to the point of losing hotel or house reservations in the chosen destination.
A company spokesperson WizzAir He spoke about it and apologized for the event: “On Wizz Air flight W95741 from Gatwick-Chania, a passenger became unruly. The cabin crew handled the situation as they are trained to do and reported the incident to the respective authorities, who arrested the passenger upon his arrival. Wizz Air sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused during the flight, but the safety of passengers and crew is the airline’s number one priority.”
