The Comic Con of Colombia "returns to the future" with Doc Emmett Brown

Bogota, June 14 (EFE).- The eleventh edition of the Colombian Comic Con will be held between June 24 and 27 in Bogotá and will have the participation of Anthony Daniels, the actor who plays C-3PO in «Star Wars», and Christopher Lloyd, who plays Doc Emmett Brown in the “Back to the Future” trilogy.

“Everything is ready for all national and international visitors to live the experiences that we have prepared for this version,” said the director of Comic Con Colombia, Alejandro Caballero, quoted in a statement from the organization.

He added: “We have proposed a wide commercial exhibition, which will be accompanied by activities designed to enjoy comics, design, cosplay, fantastic literature and much more, in addition to a unique academic agenda.”

In this sense, the event will be held after three years and visitors will have the possibility of accessing a commercial exhibition that will feature more than 200 exhibitors.

For Andrés López Valderrama, executive president of Corferias, one of the organizers of the event, this will be “the ideal space for the meeting of families, children, young people and adults, all of them passionate about cinema, television, comics and everything related to the world of superheroes.

“This event is also an opportunity to establish a commercial and commercial exchange scenario for the entertainment industry,” he stressed.

There will also be Alfonso Obregón, who is the official voice of animated characters such as Shrek, Kakashi (Naruto) and Bugs Bunny.

“This type of talent is very difficult to find at an entertainment convention, so we recommend moviegoers not to stop visiting us since it will be the only time they will be in our country,” said Caballero.

The Comic Con convention, which had its first edition in 1970 in San Diego (USA) and was created by the comic book fan Sheldon Dorfste, currently has editions in Buenos Aires, London and Mexico City, as well as in New York and Los Angeles.
