On Tuesday, the president of the Supreme Court of Justice and of the Nation’s Judicial Council, Horacio Rosatti, swore in the new 11 members of the body that proposes and sanctions judges, representing academics, lawyers, magistrates and the Executive Power. Last Friday, the Judicial Council sent the names of the four deputies and the four senators to the highest court appointed by their respective Chambers to integrate the body that proposes and sanctions magistrates.The Senate had approved on Wednesday the decree of appointment of their new representatives for the period 2022-2026 in a session in which the opposition did not go down to the premises, disagreeing with the appointments.

In that session the decree was endorsed parliamentarian 86/22 that appointed the pro-government supporters as advisers María Pilatti Vergara, Mariano Recalde and Martín Doñate and the radical Eduardo Vischi. The FdT senators harshly questioned the opposition for not attending the venue and criticized the judges of the Supreme Court of Justice for the ruling of November 8, which rejected the first appointment of Doñate in the Council and considered that it corresponded to PRO senator Luis Juez.

Magistracy: Luis Juez denounced Cristina Kirchner for disobedience

The national senator of Together for Change, Luis Juez, denounced criminally Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner for “disobedience to a public official”, within the framework of the appointment of Martín Doñate in the Council of the Magistracy.

Despite the ruling of the Supreme Court that sought to impose Luis Juez as a member, senators elected with 37 affirmative votes to the Senator Pilatti Vergara and the senators Eduardo Alejandro Vischi and Martín Doñate as members Headlineswhile the senators Silvia del Rosario Giacoppo Y Anabel Fernandez Sagasti and the senator Daniel Pablo Bensusan were chosen as substitutes to integrate the Council of the Magistracy.
