The Israeli army launched an operation called Dawn Division against Islamist organizations in the Gaza Strip on Friday, killing the military leader of the terrorist organization called Islamic Jihad, local media reported.

On Friday afternoon, a high-rise building in the Gaza Strip was hit by an Israeli rocket attack, in which Taishir Jabari, one of the military commanders of the Islamic Jihad organization, was killed, as well as about 15 militants of the organization, who, according to military radio, were preparing to launch rockets into neighboring Israeli territories after the Israeli strike. against.

The Civil Defense Command of the Israeli army deployed Iron Dome air defense units to protect civilians in the area of ​​Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Be’er Sheva, and shelters were opened in the area of ​​the Gaza Strip, MTI reported.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, civilians were also killed in Friday’s Israeli rocket fire against the area: the ministry reported a total of ten dead – including a five-year-old girl – and fifty-five wounded. According to Israeli estimates, the Israeli army killed fifteen militants in the attack against the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization.

A spokesman for the Israeli army said the operation against the Islamist organization was continuing. Islamic Jihad, considered a terrorist organization by Israel, the European Union and the United States, confirmed the death of one of its military commanders, Taysir Jabari.

Ziyad al-Nahala, the secretary general of Islamic Jihad, told al-Mayadin Lebanese television in Tehran that there would be no ceasefire after the airstrikes.
