Horror fans are excited by the news that the next chapter in the horror universe Invocation of Evil is coming: New Line Cinema, from Warner Brothers, will start filming the nun 2 coming soon. Now, details of the new plot may have been revealed.
Little has been said about the film, but we know that Michael Chaves, director of The Curse of La Llorona and The Conjuring 3: The Devil’s Orderwill direct the new production.
according to Bloody Disgustinga listing on the casting website CastItTalent.com has been published with details of the film’s plot, as well as featuring two roles the production is currently looking for.
The Nun 2 Plot
According to the website, the plot takes place in France in 1956: “After the murder of a priest, an evil is spreading. the nun follows Sister Irene as she once again faces the demonic force Valak – the demon nun.”
The subfranchise’s first film, from 2018, was set in Romania in 1952. Its completion connected it directly to the first film. Invocation of Evil by bringing in Frenchie, who we actually discovered was named Maurice. Based on the revelations, Taissa Farmiga and Jonas Bloquet are set to return and reprise their roles.
New characters in The Nun 2
The casting site is looking for two actors. The first call is to play Sophie (who needs to be between 10 and 12 years old), described as the lead role: “A shy and sweet 10 year old student at St. Mary’s School in France”.
According to the text, Sophie is tormented by a group of mean girls and befriends Frenchie, who works at the school. He is apparently Sophie’s only ally, other than her sister, who “can handle school bullies until she too is haunted by mysterious demons”.
The other yet unactressed role is Antoinette, one of the school girls who bullies Sophie. It may be that the young woman receives a visit from Valak as a “courtesy” of Frenchie.
the nun achieved the highest-grossing feat of all seven films in the universe Invocation of Evil, although not a fan favorite. The horror film grossed over $360 million at the worldwide box office.
