They hold cordial meeting Cuban Vice Prime Minister and President of the Russian Senate

In a cordial and affectionate meeting, the Cuban Vice Prime Minister, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, spoke yesterday, in Moscow, with the President of the Russian Federation Council (Senate), Valentina Matviyenko, about the current state of bilateral relations.

According to PL, both leaders exchanged on the role that both parliaments should play to promote cooperation between Moscow and Havana.

Cabrisas thanked the resolutions approved by the Federation Council since 2016, rejecting the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, and recognized the humanitarian aid provided by the country to the Caribbean island in the difficult moments of the pandemic of the COVID-19.

Matviyenko reiterated the condemnation of Washington’s genocidal policy against Cuba and advocated its elimination.

The deputy prime minister conveyed the greeting of the highest Cuban authorities, including that of the president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo Hern├índez; which was reciprocated by the head of the Russian Senate.
