Puerto Plata received on the second night of the DNA Bachata World Festival a demonstration of the diversity of this genre, of the vitality of its dancersof the wealth of its original officiants and of the future that awaits it.
According to a press release sent to Free Dailyin a single night and until well into the morning, the attendees of the Puerto Plata Amphitheater enjoyed the skills of winners of the world contest of bachataof young musicians from the first academy of bachata of the world and of legends like ramon torres.
After 9 pm the stage was filled with young people and children, the members of the Academy of Bachataan initiative of the Dream Project in Cabarete that has turned its commitment to teaching music into the first school dedicated to bachata and the meringue. Its members demonstrated their skills in songs such as “Como me haces falta”, “Give me heart” and “Voy pa allá”, which demonstrated the vocal and musical conditions of its members, true promises of the bachata and at least one guitar prodigy.
Grupo Extra once again presented their credentials with a repertoire not very different from the first night, for a different audience, smaller than on the first day, but who equally enjoyed the vitality and style of the young Dominicans living in Switzerland.
Between one presentation and another and sometimes accompanying the artists on the billboard, the couples of bachata showed off their skills, with presentations in particular by the winners of the World Cup BachataAnthony and Belén, Venezuelan and Argentine residents in Spain, as well as Junior and Carolina, a Dominican and a Colombian, a sample of the diversity of nationalities that converge in the art of dancing bachata.
Ramon Torres took the stage at 11:22 p.m. with the suitcase of his legendary hits “What happened, happened”, “He has returned” “In a hotel room” and the most requested “Your letters arrive” among others themes that the audience chanted together with the artist, one of the legends of the musical genre.
At the stroke of midnight, “El cantante de los Raperos” did not wait, Vakerówho demonstrated his skills in the genre from his entrance on stage with “Ay mami”, receiving the support of the public during his presentation.
The closing of the second night corresponded to Eduardo Acevedo Cabrera, the one that everyone knows as “El varón de la bachata”, which delighted the public until almost 2 in the morning with the most popular songs of his career.
On Saturday night the event moves to the Senator Playa hotel Bachata where the grand finale of the world tournament of dancers of bachata.
