The Electric Union informs that as of 10:00 am this Saturday there will be affectations in the service due to a deficit in generation capacity, with a maximum affectation of 120 MW.

For peak hours, an availability of 2,586 MW and a maximum demand of 2,520 MW (with a reserve of 66 MW) are estimated. Due to the low level of the reserve, affectations could occur at that time.

Units 6 and 7 of the Máximo Gómez thermoelectric plant, 1 and 3 of the Ernesto Guevara thermoelectric plant (unit 1 is in the start-up process) and 4 of the Diez de Octubre plant are out of service due to breakdowns.

The unit of the Otto Parellada thermoelectric plant, 2 of the Lidio Ramón Pérez and 6 of the Antonio Maceo are undergoing maintenance.

The limitations in thermal generation remain at 432 MW, clarifies the Electric Union.

In distributed generation, 1,101 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 459 MW are in maintenance.

For peak hours, the entry of unit 1 of the Ernesto Guevara thermoelectric plant is forecast, with 80 MW, the entry of unit 4 of Diez de Octubre, with 70 MW, and the use of 266 MW in diesel engines.

On Friday there were affectations in the service from 8:13 am until 1:07 am this Saturday. The maximum affectation at that time was 173 MW at 8:40 p.m.
