Valladolid shows its 'miniature' gastronomy in Yucatan (Mexico)

A Valladolid delegation participates until August 8 in the ‘Gastronomic Meeting between Valladolid (Spain) and Yucatán (Mexico)’, which is held in the Mexican state, on the occasion of ‘2022. Year of the Yucatecan Gastronomy’.

In this meeting, which seeks to promote gastronomic tourism, Valladolid has the representation of the chef Alejandro San José, from the Valladolid restaurant Habanero Taquería, current national champion of the Tapas Contest and representative in November of the World Championship, informs the City Council through a statement sent to Europa Press.

In this way, the chef has participated in a master conference on the preparation of tapas, which has taken place at the Great Museum of the Mayan World in Mérida (Mexico). A meeting, in which the mayor of Valladolid, Óscar Puente, wanted to be present through a video in which he thanked Valladolid for the invitation to this event and in which he extended his hand to continue working on exchange activities between both territories.

In this conference, in addition, it has been shown how each year the celebration of the National Contest and the World Tapas Championship is prepared, which will reach the eighteenth and sixth editions respectively in November, adds the information.

This conference has been joined by a gastronomic sample for nearly a hundred representatives of the tourism sector and the media, where they have been able to taste four different tapas from the Valladolid chef and different wines from Valladolid.
