It seemed that just recently our deputies voted for the diplomatic recognition of Donetsk and Luhansk, and now other cities of Donbass have been freed from Ukrainian nationalism. Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin spoke about this on the air of Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda. The full version of the conversation will be posted on the website. kp.ru in the near future, but for now – here are the most important passages.

During this time, 567 bills were submitted, of which 281 were adopted. Moreover, of the adopted laws, 97 are socially significant, almost a third of the total. This, in general, also speaks of the approaches and priorities of the State Duma.
About the reasons for the Special Operation
What was the West preparing for? To the fact that Ukraine will begin aggression against the DPR and LPR. They pumped up the country with weapons. Relying on the Nazis, the Kyiv authorities intimidated the population. In fact, Ukraine has lost its sovereignty, the president is not independent there. And all the decisions that even before February 24 were taken by the US Congress and NATO countries on the supply of weapons to Ukraine indicate that they planned to unleash hostilities against civilians in Donbass. But our country, soldiers, officers, our President – the Supreme Commander-in-Chief – prevented this aggression. And they did not allow a huge number of victims, which could be on the territory of both the DPR and LPR, and Russia.
About what borders Ukraine should be
This is up to Ukraine and its citizens to decide. In 2014, there was a coup d’état. Bloody. coup. In Kyiv. The consequence of this coup – Crimea was separated from Ukraine. Citizens, in accordance with all international requirements and norms, have made a decision for themselves to live as part of the Russian Federation. The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics decided to secede from Ukraine and become independent. Do you see today the processes that are taking place in the western part of Ukraine (where many people received passports of citizens of Poland, Hungary or the “Polish card”)? What decisions will they make? Maybe they will also want to live as part of other states, and not in Ukraine? So here the issue already lies in the plane of decision-making by the residents themselves.
