The solemn event dedicated to the Day of the Medical Worker was held on June 16 in the Voronezh Concert Hall. Governor Alexander Gusev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Galina Karelova and Vice Speaker of the State Duma Alexei Gordeev, Head of the Regional Department of Health Alexander Shchukin and Deputy Chairman of the Regional Duma Committee on Health Protection, Rector of VSMU Igor Esaulenko addressed the audience with congratulations.
On behalf of the deputies, the chairman of the regional parliament, Vladimir Netesov, thanked the current employees and veterans of healthcare for their professionalism, mercy, and devotion to medical duty. He noted that the work of a physician requires extensive knowledge, constant readiness to learn new things, the highest responsibility and great love for people.
– The best representatives of Voronezh health care have gathered in this hall. You have devoted your life to a noble and honorable mission – caring for the health and lives of patients. There are no random people in this profession. They come here by vocation. At the call of the heart. We have many top-level specialists, whose names are well known far beyond the Voronezh region, – said Vladimir Netesov, presenting awards to doctors from the Federation Council and the Voronezh Regional Duma.
A total of 60 people were marked. In particular, the badge “Excellent Health Worker” was given to the chairman of the regional Duma committee on health protection, chief doctor of the oncological dispensary Ivan Moshurov. According to him, it is pleasant for each specialist to receive a high assessment of his work, but it is even more pleasant to see healthy patients.
– I will never forget the case when I had to resect six organs for a malignant tumor. The patient is alive, we have been communicating with him for more than three years. This is the biggest award for any doctor, especially for a surgeon, – Ivan Moshurov emphasized.
The development of health care is one of the priorities of the authorities, including the regional duma. Over the past years, the region has managed to make modern technologies for the treatment and prevention of diseases accessible to residents. The financial situation of physicians has improved. The modernization of the healthcare system will be continued, Vladimir Netesov assured the audience.
