The storm that hit the capital on Saturday night (14), caused damage that affected the energy supply in 45 neighborhoods of the capital, according to Energisa, the concessionaire that distributed electricity in the state. The gusts of winds of up to 80 km/h caused trees to fall on the electrical network and cable breaks.

506,300 lightning strikes were recorded throughout Mato Grosso do Sul until 7:15 pm, according to Netclima data, calculated by the company. Of the 950 occurrences registered by the company throughout the state, 500 are from the Capital, so far.

In view of the situation, the contingency plan was activated and Energisa increased the number of teams by four times. “With the uninterrupted work, the company reinforces its commitment to act safely in order to normalize, as soon as possible, the supply of energy to the other affected customers”, informed Energisa.

In Campo Grande, the most affected neighborhoods were: Santo Amaro, Maria Aparecida Pedrossian, Portal Caiobá, Vila Margarida, Jardim Seminary, Tiradentes, Caiçara, Vila Nova Campo Grande, Jardim dos Estados, Jardim Sao Lourenço, Jardim Tijuca, Vila Sobrinho, Jardim Leblon, Chácara dos Poderes, Jardim Centenario, Monte Castelo, Parque dos Novos Estados, Jardim Panamá, Vila Nasser and Mata do Jacinto.

Also Aero Rancho, Nova Lima, Jardim Veraneio, Vila Jacy, Parque Residencial Rita Vieira, Parque Residential União, Chácara Cachoeira, Santo Antônio, Jardim Batistão, Industrial Center, Vila Piratininga, Conjunto José Abrão, Jardim Autonomista, Coronel Antonino, Vila Taveirópolis, Vila Planalto, Amambai, Jardim São Conrado, Santa Fe, Jardim Centro Oeste, Estrela Dalva, Mata do Segredo, Vila Taquarussu, Centro and Carandá Bosque.
