Guanajuato.- In one year, 20,000 people decided to quit their jobs in Guanajuato looking for a better option. This figure went from 29 to 50 thousand people who changed jobs.
The figures show that during the pandemic, a large part of the employees “extended” their decision to resign due to the uncertainty they felt at the time; however, already during this year, upon perceiving greater stability, they made the decision to change.

During the first quarter of this year, 50,342 people decided to quit their jobs, a figure 71% higher than the 29,375 registered in the same period in 2021.
This is how the National Survey of Occupation and Employment Realized by inegi in the section of Events of abandonment of employment.
In the state, the main cause of resignations is the intention to have a better income, as well as job improvement.
At least 15,000 of the 50,000 people who decided to resign did so for this reason, that is, 30%.
In second place, 8,000 people chose to leave their jobs due to family responsibilities, either due to marriage or pregnancy, a situation that brings together 17% of the causes of job abandonment.
On the other hand, 5,000 workers resigned because working conditions deteriorated or involved personal or health risks.

The statistics consider ten causes that concentrate the reasons for job desertion.
Meanwhile, 32 thousand 413 workers who decided to resign, that is, 64%, are between 20 and 39 years old.
The resignations do not distinguish age in the state, since among young people between 15 and 19 years old, 11 thousand preferred to resign.
7 out of 10 stay
In contrast, in Mexico 7 out of 10 employees keep their jobs until they find a better option, according to the study “Post-pandemic labor adaptability in Mexico”, by the OCCMundial.
In addition, it reveals that 59% of workers, about 9,500, seek better wages and benefits. Of the total number of respondents, 55% are looking for better development opportunities, and at least 43% are looking for new motivations.
The study, carried out at the national level in April, found that the ability of employees to adapt to the changes faced from the pandemic in the labor aspect was better than that of companies.
