With the postponement of redfall and starfield For 2023, two of the top Xbox exclusive games, many gamers have ended up being disappointed by the absence of first party releases in the current 2022 calendar, and Phil Spencer is well aware of the issue. Understand the question below!
On his personal Twitter account, the Xbox boss said that “these delay decisions are very complicated for both the development teams and the fans. While I fully support the idea of giving teams enough time to release great games only when they are ready, I also listen to your feedback. Delivering quality and consistency of releases is what you expect of us, and we will continue working to better meet those expectations.”
These decisions are hard on teams making the games & our fans. While I fully support giving teams time to release these great games when they are ready, we hear the feedback. Delivering quality & consistency is expected, we will continue to work to better meet those expectations. https://t.co/mIfXGd3rui

It is worth remembering that we still have a lot of games announced among the dozens of studios that Microsoft has bought in recent years, which includes Avowed, Everwild, Fable, Perfect Dark and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade IIjust to name a few, so who knows they won’t get an upcoming release date during the showcase that will be presented online next June 12th?
We’re rooting for Microsoft to get its schedule in order and deliver its fans a schedule full of high-quality releases in the coming months! As always, the showcase will be broadcast in Portuguese here on Voxel!
