no more "vaccination interviews" conducted in pharmacies to educate customers

Last May, the press revealed that thanks to a pop-up window system on their computer, pharmacists had access to the vaccination status of their customers, were invited to educate them about vaccination and above all, to note and encode their reaction. . Farmaflux – which manages the data collected – has informed that the pop-up window no longer appears since October 1. And this, “because the initial vaccination campaign is coming to an end.”

This practice has sparked strong reactions from privacy advocates. The non-profit organization Charta21 recently sued Farmaflux, arguing that this vaccination data processing system violated the regulations on the protection of personal data.

Note that according to Farmaflux figures, nearly 4.9 million vaccination interviews have been carried out in all Belgian pharmacies since March 31, 2021.
